About Steadpoint IT

Owner-operated managed IT in the Greater Toronto Area

Steadpoint IT is an owner-operated managed IT and cybersecurity provider serving the Greater Toronto Area, founded in 2026. Steadpoint IT supports businesses between 10 and 150 staff, publishes its pricing rather than gating it, and works on thirty days' notice with no long-term contract. Steadpoint IT carries $2M in errors and omissions cover and $2M in cyber liability cover, with the certificate available on request.

The honest version

Steadpoint IT is new. A firm that has been running since 2001 has something we do not have and cannot manufacture, and if twenty-five years of history is what you are buying then you should buy it. There are good providers in the GTA who can sell you that, and we will say so on the call rather than talk you out of it.

What a new firm can do is compete on the things tenure does not actually guarantee. Accountability is one of them. Insurance with named limits is another. So is a contract you can leave. Every claim on this website is either checkable or absent, which is a deliberately higher bar than the industry norm and the reason there are no client logos, no testimonials and no case studies on this site yet. When there are, they will be real.

What we will not do

  • Claim partner status, certifications or client counts we do not hold. Every one of those is publicly checkable and gets caught in diligence.
  • Put stock photography of strangers on the site and imply they work here.
  • Quote below roughly $100 per user per month. At that price something has been left out of the stack, and the honest version is to tell you what instead of matching it.
  • Lock you into a three-year auto-renewing agreement, which is the market norm in the GTA and the single most common thing people are trying to escape when they call us.

How we work

Most engagements start with a fixed-fee IT assessment rather than a contract, because it produces something useful whether or not you hire us afterwards. If a cyber insurance renewal is driving the timeline, the starting point is cyber insurance readiness instead. Ongoing support is priced per user per month and the numbers are on the pricing page. If you are weighing this against hiring internally, we did the Ontario arithmetic with sources, including the cases where hiring is the better answer.

Questions people ask

Who is behind Steadpoint IT?

Steadpoint IT is an owner-operated managed IT provider in the Greater Toronto Area. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it, and the person who answers the phone is the same one either way.

How long has Steadpoint IT been operating?

Steadpoint IT was founded in 2026. That is a real disadvantage against a firm with twenty-five years of GTA clients, and pretending otherwise would be the first thing you caught us on. What Steadpoint IT offers instead is checkable: published pricing, $2M errors and omissions and $2M cyber liability with the certificate available on request, and a thirty-day exit written into the agreement rather than a three-year auto-renewal.

Why is your pricing on the website when almost nobody else's is?

Because gating a price behind a form is a way of finding out what you will pay before telling you what it costs, and because it saves both sides the first two meetings. Four GTA providers already publish theirs. It also means we are not the cheapest quote you will get, and we would rather you know that before the call than after it.

What happens if we want to leave?

You give thirty days' notice, for any reason, and we hand over documentation, credentials and administrative control in a usable state. A client who stays because leaving is difficult is not a client worth having, and a provider who makes the exit painful is telling you what they think of their own work.

Not sure what you actually need?

Book a 20-minute call. We will tell you plainly whether you have a problem worth paying to solve, including when the answer is that you do not.
